I recieved this link from HamSandwich, and it's a pretty incredible personal photo-documentary of what it was like to be in New Orleans during the time Katrina struck and the aftermath. Very interesting indeed.
Though this storm weakened quite a bit, and didn't squarely hit Korea (that's what Japan is for) we still saw a tremendous amount of rain and wind today. Here's a photo that was taken about a 15 minute walk from my house. That's a big wave.
Everyone knows I don't smoke (ahem). Well, at least not all the time. But smoking is still big business here in Korea, and new brands of cigarettes regularly hit the market. A recent one is called 'LO CRUX'. No one is quite sure what this refers to, but some theories involving J-Lo and her bottom have been circulating. The pack for these features some kind of fancy design reminiscent of California cool-boy tatoos, and includes some very enticing writing on the pack. Let me include it here.
Had to squeeze in some last minute undergarment shopping this day - thank goodness for the Bay. Then it was rehearsal time at the Rose's, followed by dinner at the charming Savannah Cafe. Though my pad thai was dissapointing (too much of what appeared to be ketchup in the sauce - ketchup belongs nowhere but on a hot dog or hamburger), I really enjoyed the decor. If you look closely you can see Julia through the glass...
