In a fit of procrastination

Trying to write a paper here. It's hurting my head so I thought I'd take (yet another) well needed break. Haha.

Last weekend saw the dawning of yet another new year. I travelled to the city of Jinju, about an hour and a half north-west of Busan, to meet up with some friends there. We had a relaxed evening, drinking rustic rice wine (dong-dong-ju 동동주), eating and dancing. Friends who have been living in Prague brought a European delicacy for us to share:
This stuff is VERY strong (70%) and there's this whole weird thing we had to do whereby we took a spoon full of sugar, dipped it in the absinth, set the sugar on fire, waited for it to melt, then plunged it into the green brew thus setting it on fire, and finally shooting the whole thing back (after extinguishing the flames of course). Interesting.

The next day we had a crepe party at Brian and Hyun-ju's house. They were awesome tasty. The crepes that is. Here we are enjoying our food.
After stuffing ourselves, Colin and I had to head back to Busan. We decided that some pizza and a movie were in order. We headed to the Pizza Hut next to the movie theater, and ate some incredibly greasy pizza with a few tall glasses of cola. I got a stomach ache afterwards :( One thing about eating pizza in Korea, is that it's impossible to do so without being served a side order of sweet pickles. Pretty much every foreigner in Korea hates these blasted things, but it's like seving butter with bread here. In anycase, after we ate, Colin and I had some time to kill and so decided to put the pickles to good use. Here you can see we constructed a 2D pickle monster. We were quite proud of ourselves.
